we thank everyone that have submitted works for the 10th year edition of m-v-f- awards, which recognizes music video art and other formats stemming from it, from brazil and worldwide.
from now on all eligible works will be analyzed by a committee comprised of professionals, artists, music video makers and m-v-f- awards’ collaborators to determine the nominees for the 7 international categories.
our mission is as strong as ever: celebrate the art of the music video, recognize and reveal talents and foster a creative community. m-v-f- is the only brazilian awards event dedicated to music videos!
winning videos of m-v-f- awards 2022 will again be highlighted at directors’ library, the online platform dedicated to the best audiovisual directors from around the world.

_best music video (10 finalists)
the jury will award the overall best music video, considering all creative aspects, and according to originality of concept, technical expertise and execution and effectiveness of the video in showcasing or promoting the music.
_best LATAM music video (5 finalists)
the jury will recognize the best music video featuring music artists from latin american countries, excluding brazil. Jury criteria for this award is creativity, technical quality, and suitability of the images to the music.
_best direction in a music video (5 finalists)
the jury will recognize the best direction in a music video. jury criteria for this award is creativity, technical quality, and suitability of the images to the music.
_revelation in direction in a music video (5 finalists)
the revelation award recognizes the best music video from new directing talent. to be eligible directors must have released at least one video no earlier than january 2020.
_best animation in a music video (5 finalists)
the jury will judge the technique and creativity in video clips that are either entirely animated or feature significant portions of animation. prize will be awarded to the animator of the video.
_innovation in video (5 finalists)
this category recognizes visual music that utilizes new techniques and uses delivery platforms in unusual ways. could include expanded and immersive reality, interactive content, nfts and more.
_best music video (10 finalists)
the audience will choose the audience choice for best music video of the year, via online voting

lucrecia taormina | an award winning Argentinean director based in London, represented by Prettybird. Her ascent as a director to watch has been rapid since she started directing, and she won the Best Pop Newcomer award at the 2019 UKMVA’s for her Tarantino-esque Ashnikko music video, making her the only female director to win an award that night. And last year Lucrecia was nominated for Best New Director at the UKMVA’s together with two other nominations in the Alternative and Hip Hop UK categories. Her bold and entertaining narratives with a hyper – real aesthetic, strong characters and iconic world creations have been the center pieces of her filmmaking and photography. lucrecia’s work has often gone viral, achieving public acclaim and also getting the attention on the international awards circuit. She has won awards from Kinsale Shark, Creative Circle, 1.4 and UKMVA, as well as recognition at the Cannes Lions Young Directors Awards, and Ciclope Awards.
jup do bairro | Brazilian singer and songwriter, from São Paulo. She released her first EP, CORPO SEM JUÍZO in 2020. Produced by BADSISTA, Jup also invited some feats to this EP, such as the singers Deize Tigrona and Linn da Quebrada and the rappers Rico Dalasam and Mulambo. Jup do Bairro has crossed some of contemporary Brazilian music frontiers, creating a unique sound aesthetics. Jup do Bairro also had her artistic versatility explored by the tv channel Canal Brasil (Globosat), which produced three seasons of the talk show TransMissão, presented by Jup in partnership with Linn da Quebrada.
meghan oretsky | Before joining Vimeo in 2014, you could find Meghan cheering on filmmakers in the comments section of countless videos on their site. Today she serves as a Senior Curator on Vimeo’s curation team, for which she watches and curates thousands of videos a year in consideration for Vimeo Staff Picks.
janara lopes | Creative director, curator, trend addict and businesswoman in the creative industry, she was the founder of IdeaFixa, a company that evolved the craft talent market. she has collaborated in the creation of creative projects for some of the biggest brands in Brazil and the world, such as Havaianas, Adidas, Facebook, Itaú, Netflix, among many others Co-founder and responsible for the communication of Phonogram.me, the first Brazilian music NFT marketplace.
rico dalasam | Rico Dalasam joined national rap in 2014, becoming one of the main bets of contemporary national music and currently guaranteeing its space. He launched several projects in these years, among them, “Modo Diverso” (2015), “Orgunga” (2016), “Balança Raba” (2017), “Modo Diverso – 5 Anos” (2020), the emblematic ”Dolores Dala Guardian of Alívio” (2021), and the most recent “Fim das Tentativas” (2022). He is currently on the tour “Encontro DDGA” in Brazil.
katia lund | the work of katia lund includes documentaries, features, tv series, music videos and shorts. she has been honored with many awards in international festivals for movies she has directed or co-directed, like “city of god” and “all the invisible children”, the tv series “city of men” and the documentary “news of a private war”. now, katia is working on a amoazon’s series that will be launched internationaly in 2023, called “amar é para os fortes”.
pedro antunes | journalist, curator and critic of music and pop culture since 2010. He has written for Jornal da Tarde, Estadão, was editor-in-chief of Rolling Stone Brasil, critic of Folha de S. Paulo, music columnist at UOL and member of the Multishow Award Superjury. He is a promoter of Live Nation Brasil and curator of Primavera Sound São Paulo. He did more interviews than he remembers, he has a “new favorite record” per week and does mini-analysis of albums on the program Tem um Gato na Minha Vitrola, on the profile @poantunes.
giovanni bianco | He started his work as an art director in 1994 and, since 2001, he works at GB65 with the intersection of fashion, art, design and entertainment. He creates campaigns, creative direction, visual identity, branding, packaging and web design for major national and international fashion brands, such as Arezzo, Miu Miu and Versace, in addition to collaborating with heavyweight names in entertainment such as Madonna, J-LO and Anitta.
